Q-tip Party

What is a Q-tip party you ask? Well, we can't quite figure out ourselves exactly how this came about BUT we think it ended up being quite genius :) Some how when we were brainstorming for our next party, q-tips came up and we couldn't quite let it go and so the Q-tip party was born. Our goal was to plan an evening get together that would be a little more "chill" but wanted everyone to walk away with something useful. Sticking to that idea and the crazy q-tips we came up with idea to exchange Quick Tips! We are so grateful to all our friends and family that went along with it and made the party such a success.

The invitation:

We asked everyone to bring a finger food to share and come prepared to share any quick tip that they have found helpful in their day to day life. To start the q-tip party off we played a little trivia game, we found a bunch of random uses for q-tips online and decided to see how many everyone could guess. It was interesting to hear everyone's guesses and to see how many different ways a simple q-tip can be used.

We ended up with SO many great quick tips! I know I have used several of them myself and have heard from others that attended they too are using many of the q-tips! I would say the Q-tip party was a success :)

Cookie Swap

Way back in January Brittney came up with the idea to host a cookie swap with a twist! So we met, planned and planned some more and our Cookie Swap Contest was born. It was held on February 5th 2011 and everyone that attended LOVED it! It has officially become our first annual event!

Here is the invite:

The Cookie Swap part was just like any other, make any cookie of choice and bring to swap with everyone else's yummy cookies. The contest part was the twist! We asked everyone to come with a creative way to display their cookies, a decorated card with the name of their cookies, their recipe and an apron to wear throughout the evening. As everyone arrived they were given an area to set up their displays and cookies and given a number. We then handed out the voting sheets and asked everyone to walk around and checkout the displays and try out the cookies!

We had them vote on the following categories:
*Best Cookie Place Setting (cookie name card)
*Best Cookie Presentation
*Fanciest Cookie Plate
*Best Apron
*Best Cookie Taste

Here are the winners:

It was such a blast! I think next years is going to be AMAZING now that we have done it once and know what we need to fix/change and everyone now has a better idea of how crazy they can be with their displays and cookies. This is one party you don't want to miss! We all headed home with an overabundance of to die for cookies which meant those we left at home didn't mind so much that we had snuck out for a bit :) We are definitely looking forward to the next one in February and hope you are too!
***if you attended this years cookie swap contest please feel free to give us any feedback. And let everyone know how much fun you had! Thanks!***

{Welcome to 3 Peas and a Party}

As you probably can agree we all have very busy lives.  Whether it's school, work or kids that occupy your schedule...it is busy!  Sometimes so busy that we don't get around to planning and spending time with our girlfriends, crafting or my favorite (Brittney) scrapbooking!  :)
~
That is where 3 Peas and a Party come in!  We'll do the planning you just make the room in your schedule!  Lindsey, Andria and I decided we wanted to put together some fun ways to get together as women to share our creativity with each other and get to know each other better.
~
At times, life in general can be overwhelming and sometimes you need an inexpensive escape.  Whether it is crafting, sharing ideas as women or just laughing and relaxing...that is the point of 3 Peas and a Party.  A fun escape every quarter or so to enjoy you!  To do something for you!
~
Please join us, or if you have already been to one of our parties, continue to join us for some FUN outside the home, but most importantly to share your talents and learn from others.
Let's express our creativity together!
